How to vote a Fool Serious ballot

The annual Fool Serious ballot is found at notsiff. (Please note that between festivals, the site is taken down completely and unavailable.)  The website also has links to all the movies in the festival and to a schedule of movies to assist with festival planning.

Steps for voting:
1. Set up your notsiff account under the “Sign up” menu.  You need to do this every year. Previous years’ accounts are all deleted after the festival ends. The signup process requires a valid email address.
2. Go to the Fool Serious icon at the top of the page to find the ballot. Films are rated
    1 Least Liked
    2 Way Below Average
    3 Below Average
    4 Average
    5 Above Average
    6 Great
    7 Truly Great
    8 Almost Best
    9 Absolute Best

Please please note that an “average” movie is a 4 on our scale. Spread your votes along the scale to assure we have meaningful results.

You can change your votes during the festival.

You do not need to “Submit” your final ballot.

Votes will be considered FINAL at midnight of the last Saturday of the in-person festival.

Results are distributed Sunday at the festival venues prior to the first film of the day.
